What are the residency requirements for filing for divorce in Oregon? |
If you were married in Oregon, you can file for divorce there as long as one spouse is living there now, regardless of how long he or she has been living there. If you were not married in Oregon, one spouse must have lived in Oregon for at least six (6) months immediately before filing for divorce. How do I serve my spouse with the divorce papers in Oregon? |

The Clerk indicated that the notices required pursuant to ORS 107.106, ORS 25.384, and ORS 25.080(8)(b)(B) are missing. Where do I get that information? |
The Stipulated General Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage that you received as part of your DivorceWriter package has been revised to include language/notices concerning Oregon Revised Statutes 107.106, 25.384, and 25.080(8)(b)(B).

Why did my spouse and I each received a Confidential Information Form (CIF), but only one Notice of Filing of Confidential Information Form UTCR 2.130.2? |
When documents containing confidential information are filed, a notice form is also filed in order to notify the clerk to redact the confidential information prior to the document(s) becoming public record. One notice may notify the clerk that each spouse has filed a document containing confidential information.

Can a Notary Public notarize any documents that require notarization or do some documents have to be notarized by the Court Clerk? |
Although some documents have slightly different notary blocks, any divorce documents requiring notarization in Oregon can be notarized either by a Notary Public or by the Court Clerk.
